A Brief History...
A native of Miami, Florida, art has been a passion of mine since childhood. I am primarily self taught with the exception of some early guidance from my Mother who was also a professional artist for many years. Her work would prove to be my earliest inspiration. I moved to Tennessee in the early 80’s where I attended school at Middle Tennessee State University. I initially majored in commercial art and later shifted my interest to aerospace (another deep passion of mine) where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. Ironically, shortly after graduation, I started to work as a professional artist for a prominent Nashville sign company. I was hired to create conceptual renderings in watercolor for large sign projects. It was at that job where I discovered the medium. I found watercolor to be extremely challenging and unforgiving, much like the airplanes I loved to fly! After a short while though, I felt the need to return to my home in Miami. I missed the familiar South Florida surroundings and with a new interest in painting, I started to give special attention to the ocean, palms and other tropical subjects which presently dominate my portfolio. Painting architecture became very interesting to me too. I loved the challenging aspects of perspective as well as the intricate moldings seen in old homes and buildings. As a recent addition to my repertoire, I have also painted subjects from my travels abroad.
I created World In Watercolor initially as a small business venture to showcase and sell my work. Although paintings are the core of the business, I also do a lot of design work too. In addition to painting, I own and operate Foreman Enterprises, LLC - Custom Home Interiors. Please visit www.foremanenterprises.net for more information. Feel free to contact me if you have the need for any of my services. I am a resident of Great Falls, VA and service many of the communities in the area. Most of all, I am a dedicated and loving father to my two beautiful daughters.
Thank you for viewing my work!

The Boeing 747… This was my "office" when I flew for Polar Air Cargo. I flew it for a little over two years until yet another layoff.
I started flying when I was fifteen and soloed on my sixteenth birthday. I have spent many thousands of hours in the cockpit over the last twenty-six years, and I have been flying professionally for sixteen years. Some of my professional flying has been with private companies, the regional airlines, and the major airlines ~ TWA & American Airlines.

In August, 2001 I received a national award for "Superior Airmanship" from the Air Line Pilots Association after a "bad day at work." A serious in-flight malfunction resulted in an emergency landing where I was able to save 99 passengers, 5 crewmembers and the airplane. I guess that was my five minutes of fame.
